A Personal Message from Dr. Angela:

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how many people I see who aren’t necessarily “sick,” but also don’t feel like themselves. Maybe it shows up as neck or back tension, recurring headaches, stiffness, poor posture, fatigue, or even that constant feeling of being “on edge.” Sometimes it’s subtle — like not sleeping deeply, feeling more reactive to stress, or just noticing your body isn’t moving or recovering the way it used to.

In chiropractic, we often describe this as being in a state of DIS-ease — not a diagnosis, but a sign that the body isn’t expressing health as fully as it’s meant to.

In today’s world, it’s easy to think we’re fine as long as nothing is obviously wrong. But health isn’t just the absence of symptoms — it’s how well your body is actually functioning day to day.

Your body is constantly working for you, guided by your nervous system — adapting, healing, and keeping everything in balance. But over time, stress from daily life can start to interfere with that process. Physical stress like posture and repetitive strain, emotional stress, and even the pace of life can all begin to affect how your spine and nervous system function.

I often explain it like this: Imagine your spine is having a phone conversation with the rest of your body. When the connection is clear, everything is understood and conversation flows smoothly. But when that connection becomes foggy or interrupted, the message still gets heard — just not as clearly. And over time this type of connection can leave you feeling like you’re putting in more effort just to feel okay.

Chiropractic care is about helping restore that connection. By improving how the spine moves and reducing stress on the nervous system, we support your body in doing what it already knows how to do — function, adapt, and heal.

A gentle reminder for you this month: your body isn’t failing you — it’s communicating with you. And when given the right support, it has an incredible ability to return to balance and ease.
