The Best Country in the World

15% of Canadian men and 20% of Canadian women say that they have been under so much stress that they contemplated suicide. (Globe and Mail, Dec.28, 2002).

And this is the best country in the world? Yes, according to the World Health Organization, Canada, by its standard of living and other factors has been given “the Best Country in the World” ranking. But still, we are under so much stress that 1 in 5 will admit to contemplating suicide. How do you think the rest of the world is doing?

This is not right.

So what do we do?

Look to the root cause of the problem: interference. Interference between God and us, interference between your brain and body, interference between husbands and wives, interference between parents and children, interference between employees and employers, interference between co-workers, interference between brothers and sisters, interference between teachers and students, interference between friends, and so on and so on and so on…

Worldwide the # 1 drug still prescribed is Valium. A drug that numbs people to the reality around them and alters brain chemistry so the world looks rosy. In Canada we have even fancier drugs, but they do the same thing (after all this is the best country in the world).

This is not right.

So what do we do?

Get rid of interference. Subluxation is not just a physical thing. Subluxation is anything that interferes with your God-given potential. Pastors call spiritual subluxation sin. I call physical subluxation nerve interference. Counselors call relationship subluxation selfishness and pride. There are all sorts of names for this thing that we call subluxation. It’s anything that interferes with your God-given potential.

Subluxation robs your potential to live, your potential to grow and your potential to live life to the fullest. Get rid of subluxation and people will be too content and happy to take Valium and contemplate suicide.
